At Christ First Church, we love kids! Part of our mission is to partner with parents as they seek to teach their kids to follow Jesus. This includes not only programs like nursery care and kids ministries, but also forming supportive relationships not only with other parents but the whole church community.  Our CFC Kids is for grades K-5th.

Every week, we look forward to having our children’s ministry in our brand new, dedicated children’s wing. We designed this space to help keep kids safe and secure, with large windows into all classrooms for visibility, a check point for signing kids in, and even its own separate restrooms. We also designed it to be fun for kids, with bright colors and a large, Noah’s Ark themed recreational space.

 We don’t believe the old adage that “children should be seen and not heard.” We recognize that children make noise and sometimes messes. Kids need to move, and teaching them to sit still for a church service doesn’t happen overnight. The wiggles and giggles and occasional tantrum are not distractions from our worship, but a reminder that God is at work building the church in the next generation. “Parenting in the pew” is worship, and it’s our job to support you in that task.

Nursery

When children’s ministries resume, nursery care will be available for children from birth to age 5. Like all of our children’s ministries, our nursery workers go through a background check, screening, and ongoing training to help ensure the safety of the children in our care. This is an important way we can help show the love of Jesus to children and their families.

 You are also welcome to bring your little ones into the service with you if you prefer.  We have a nursing mothers’ room with an adjustable speaker to allow moms to still hear the service or turn it off if necessary.  Our lobby area also has speakers and large windows into the sanctuary, so you can still stay connected to the service if you need to step out with your child for a moment.

CFC Kids

Our Christ First Kids’ teachers have a passion for sharing the love of Jesus and teaching the Word of God in ways that are engaging and accessible for each age group. Classes for kindergarted through grade 5 will meet Sunday evenings at 5pm in the children’s wing.
